Basic Information

Schedule:

Dear colleagues,

main aim of the following schedule is to enhance the quality of the conference and the papers. We would like to ensure that you receive sufficient and quality feedback to your papers and that we will be able to publish the conference proceedings within the reasonable period after the conference.

Registration via Registration system*:

from 20 January to 8 March 2020

Submission of an paper abstract via Registration system (min 400 words, describing the aims, content and main conclusions of a paper):

from 20 January to 8 March 2020

Evaluation of abstracts by scientific guarantors:

from 23 February to 15 March 2020

Billing registered participants whose abstracts have been accepted:

Submission of “working” papers** via Registration system:

First internal review of "working" papers:

Sending “working” papers back to the authors, along with the first internal review:

Conference:

Submission of final papers (via Registration system) that have been adjusted based on the first internal review and discussions at the conference:

* Registration to the conference is possible only electronically via Registration system. Registration system is accessible here. Please register to COFOLA INTERNATIONAL 2019.

** “Working papers” are subject to the first internal review of papers. Therefore, it should be a comprehensive treatise on the chosen topic, including all analysed ideas, main arguments and findings. In principle, it should be very close to the final version. After the first internal review, the authors will be notified and will be allowed to amend or change their papers according to the reviewer’s suggestions. Therefore, “working paper” is definitely not merely a concept or extended synopsis of the paper. The “working paper” must follow the paper template. If the working paper will not correspond to the these requirements, they will not be accepted for publication.

Conference fee:

1.990,- CZK incl. VAT or 80 EUR.

 

THE CONFERENCE FEE MUST BE PAID BY 15 MARCH 2020 AT LATEST OTHERWISE YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE CANCELLED.

After registration and confirmation of your abstract to the conference (see important dates), a payment notice will be sent to your email. According to instruction in the notice, you will get an invoice in electronic form issued by Masaryk University Shopping Center. It is not possible to pay the conference fee in cash on the day of the conference. In case your contribution is not published (e.g. due to failure to comply with deadlines or prescribed format, etc.) or non-participation at the conference, the conference fee is not refundable. The conference fee can be paid by credit card.

Information for conference participants from countries with visa duty:

If you need an invitation letter for your visa application from the Faculty of Law, please provide the conference organizers via email michal.janovec@law.muni.cz with following information:

  • Name and surname,
  • Residence,
  • Sending institution,
  • Passport number,
  • Date of issuing and expiration date of your passport.

The timely provision of complete information will speed up issuing of the invitation letter.
